We need to keep adding volume to voices. I always say “They take ‘pride’ in their desires – why should we fear or be ashamed of standing upright for what we hold to be sacred and true?”

The fact that the social space for people to express traditional and normative family values has descreased and is continuing to decrease should make us even more motivated to discuss it in the mosques (with all due sensitivity ofc). Sadly it seems once the critical mass was reached in the media and gay characters started appearing in most shows and now even kids shows its become apparent that a indoctrination campaign is at works, where a dichotomoy between lgtb communities often portrayed as good and relgious communities are often portrayed negatively, leading a further entrenchment in values. Now with the reach of the media and social media it seems like the phenomenon is exporting itself across the globe.

May Allah SWT Bless you!.

Also a small note in regards to Bilal Philips the ban against him in Germany was later to appealed in court and lifted.

We have to agree to disagree when it comes to principle stuff. That doesn’t mean we cannot co-exist.

No one is promoting anything. So the first thing is, please don’t lie when some of us say that in a place built on individual freedom, people do things that violate our morals and sensibilities. To say live and let live is not “promoting” anything. In fact, the very same people who want do deny rights to the LGBT community and black people hate Muslims. The intolerant side of the West hold the idea that there is a white Western way to live and any other way is inferior. Make no mistake, ten years ago, were Muslims in America debating if we should put up Christmas trees? So this attempt to stand with these bigots in reality is destroying Islam in America. Western Muslims are not en masse embracing homosexuality, but we are being forced out of Islam in America in order to do what white Christians say is normal. Being long. Sorry. We really think Islam tells our men to hide who they are (face like a pig’s behind) and orders our women to walk around and face danger for being openly Muslim? This is the main thing. Homosexuality? I am supposed to watch and judge a non Muslim’s bedroom? While I HIDE so no one can see I am a Muslim and then make my wife walk around as an open target subject to white racist abuse? I question such an interpretation of Islam. This talk about the LGBT movement is a red herring for people determined to chase the racist whites who hate Islam.

What us Muslims are doing here is another question. Why don’t we simply head on back? It’s a valid retort. A few things:

1) There will always need to be a small number for dawah purposes (beyond that not needed)

2) A lot of our home countries are rife with extreme oppression and injustice, and suppression of free speech. Even for example, dwelling in a poor and conservative area if one is poor one is liable to fall into riba theft and prostitution. Evil has spread everywhere.

In a lot of ways I can avoid a lot of the greater evils by living in free America. I suppose maybe a better compromise is moving to somewhere like Chile or Argentina.

3) One other possibility is, in American you get your gay rights, in Muslim countries Muslims get Islam, and here we basically segregate, so Muslims form communities more in the direction of Mormons, the Amish and Haredi Jews, mostly keeping to their own but interacting fully in the spheres of work or preaching or cooperation in something like charity or volunteering.

I’m guessing 3 is the best way to attend to the realities at hand.

You don’t need ours. The least I’d ask for is that we can disagree respectfully. As a Muslim, I don’t drink alcohol. I have plenty of non Muslim peers who drink alcohol. We don’t fight over this disagreement. Why can’t I just disagree with LGBT ideology?

In several Muslim-majority countries, we LGBT have our integrity violated. Don’t want to create a war with one of the few groups that can be allied in your rights. I can live with your mosque, but if you can’t live with my civil rights, I’ll start to have a problem with yours. Remember: you are a minority, you should have more respect for other minorities. Don’t bite the “gay hand” that is extended to you.

Kudos to MM for having the courage to pu lush this. Ustadh Mo’nun Vaud is brilliant – May Allah make your effort heavy on the scales . Ameen

We need more people to be aware that the LGBT movement is not about human rights nor civil rights, but about promoting a lifestyle to demoralize people.

And also, we need to call out Linda Sarsour and Dalia Mogahed on their aggressive promotion of LGBT. Enough is enough
